Go Poly VS attend JC

Polytechnic in Singapore has did so much on advertising themselves to secondary school. In one of a publication, this unknown youth MARK, he is dressed in berms, a cool printed tee, then a trendy jacket and sleek-looking shoes. Yes, he is also one of the Singapore self-made film producers and his works are well known even in Cannes.  (apparently Cannes has a festival showcasing short films. Mr bean was there on his holiday too.)  Polytechnic has done well in branding themselves as a carefree and also as a place where you can too excel.

JC on the other hand does not do much branding. Through word of mouth, you will get to know which JC is fun. The best you get to show off your style is through your shoes and bags. Also the only international recognition you get is through WHATEVER olympiad.

As a matter of fact, I do agree poly is more fun. Less Stress? I do not agree but I will give it to you as a reason to reject JC. More free time? defnitely you can have all the time you want in a poly. Flexibility? indeed you can twist and turn your lesson timing. So what is the real reason for going poly?

Take your time and enjoy schooling. Enjoy the joy and tantrums you have in a class. I know poly do have classes too. And you have like some many classes that you do not know the boy or girl behind the last desk. Enjoy the clique you spend time with. Yes They are the one you do stupid stuff with. (shooting bottle caps, roller coaster rides in school, staying til late outside for no apparent reason and going home saying wah lao there are so many homework today and many more) LOTS MORE. Doing these things in poly. Your parents will go nagging HAIYO MY CHILD HAS MIXED WITH THE WRONG COMPANY. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIS FUTURE?

You think that is all? You do not need to know when is it time to study. You have your lovely TUTORS to nag at you. And all you have to do is just ABIT each day. Do you think your tutor will nag at you in poly? Last minute studying for  a term paper and flunking it. You can just tell yourself ” Oh well, at least I have done my best.”

If you wanted to do well in life or something, you would have gone to Poly or a JC. And if you are real lazy and love fun, JC is the choice for you.

ACCOUNTANCY

Someone was talking about follow where my heart tells me to. I still think you are very smart. Once upon a time,  pretty nong ago, I think it was my ah ma asking me what I want to be. Casually I said wo yao eer zuo yi sen lo. Then she goes, yisen ar, hor hor.

Yes. It was that time a wrong choice of words then many had high hopes on me. As usual, I tried studying. As everyone know, absence makes a heart grow fonder. Is it a correct phrase? I thought I was going to be a doctor and be the best. I was jealous and wary of people who wanted to be a doctor. The first was MAGDELINE. (I dont think she will past by this website.) She was the Top Student. How foolish I was. That moment that time really brainwashed me.

I was rejected by med school. I do not really think I will make it the screening but one thing for sure I know I am able to be a doctor given a chance. There also I do respect those who got in. Having knowing a few of them during my UNI crash, they must be like godlike muggers and party-goers at the same time. There I knew they work hard and I have to take my hat off them and get off the stage.

Now I have really made up my mind and somehow my future lies in accountancy. Especially at this time, I am feeling the rush the market the economy is getting to. Thinking about it, we will all need alot fo ACCOUNTANTS by the time uni ends.

So be prepared. Leon is coming to take the stage.

ENTP VS INFP VS ABCD

Those things above would be what many meridians will know. It is the personality test constructed for US to know US better. But how is it the case?

Extroversion would be described an outgoing, gregarious person. I have always thought I am a extrovert for being loud, cheerful, always with a group of friends and over-articulated. Right til here, you all who know me do agree with me right?  After last night long chat with those TEENAGERS ( but still I am a TWENAGER),  I find that there’s a big difference between expression of thoughts and feeling. That is what that really separate an extrovert and introvert.

Here is 2 outgoing and friendly chaps, Jack and Tom. Skin deep, no one will say they are introverts. However, is that really so?

Think over these two people: 1 Jack who speaks whatever that comes to his mind. 2 Tom who speaks after processing his thoughts.

Jack will be the one that lets it go. His feeling to people. How he thinks of his friends. The appreciation he has for others. The resentment for how that rude old man that shove him away for blocking the entrance.

Wouldn’t Tom be someone who keeps things to himself , afraid how people will think of him. This poor dude who is afraid of how things might work differently. Deep down he too appreciate the friends he hangs out with, the things and favor you done for him, the hot chick that laugh at whatever he comes up with.

So which one do you think are you Extroverts?
